Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 July 2026

AdvocateDesk reads property title documents and drafts a title opinion for advocates. This page says what we keep, what we never see, and who else touches your data.

What we collect

Your account. You sign in with Google through Clerk, our sign-in provider. We receive your name and email from Clerk. We never see your Google password.

Your documents, while we read them. When you upload a deed bundle, we read it in memory to produce the report. We do not store the raw PDF or image files. What we save is the extracted content as structured JSON, a SHA-256 hash of the exact files you uploaded, the list of file names in the bundle, the page count, and the finished report.

Your usage. We count how many previews and reports you run each day so we can apply the daily limit.

What we never see

Your Google password. Clerk handles sign-in end to end.

Your card number, UPI id, or bank details. Our payment gateway collects those on its own checkout screen. They never reach our servers. We only get back a payment id and a captured/failed result.

Your raw files after processing. We hold the bytes long enough to read them, then drop them. Only the extracted JSON and the file hash stay behind.

Where your documents go

To produce a report we send the text of your documents to Google (Gemini) and to OpenAI through their APIs. Gemini extracts the content and OpenAI audits the findings. This is how the report gets written and checked.

We store the saved report and your account record in Neon, a managed Postgres database. The application runs on Render, our hosting provider.

Third parties who handle your data

Logs

Our server writes request and error logs so we can debug problems. By default those logs do not include your document contents or your file names.

How long we keep things

Preview attempts expire 24 hours after you start them. After that the stored extraction for an unpaid preview is no longer used.

Saved reports stay until you delete them. Open My documents, delete any report, and its stored JSON is removed from our database. Deleting a report does not refund a daily usage slot, because the usage ledger holds no document content.
